GIVE ME MISSY TURNING UP IN STORIES RANDOMLY WITH THE SHITTIEST DISGUISE EVER, CALLING HERSELF MRS E OR SOME OTHER LUDICROUS NICKNAME AND HAVE 12 FALL FOR IT COMPLETELY AND THEN HE’S SHOCKED WHEN HE FINDS OUT ITS HER AND SHE JUST SHRUGS AND IS LIKE: EH I DIDN’T DIE WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO?

Okay, full episode this time.
Okay, so after the first five minutes I felt so betrayed and wanted to h a t e this episode. And then after the ‘Do you think I care for you so little that betraying me would make a difference?’ scene I melted a little. IDK. The Master is such the obvious choice that I just REALLY WANTED it to be somebody else. The Rani would have been perfect. Personally I think if she was the Valeyard it would have been SO AWESOME. Like that’s who I was really hoping for. I love the whole nobody hates the Doctor more than himself motif. And it would have been great to give the New Who audience a little more credit and re-introduce somebody from Classic Who. So okay, instead we go with the person everybody will recognize and understand.
But! Also! On the other hand, I do always enjoy the Master. And it does definitively open the door to a female Doctor which the Valeyard would have done even better but. And that’s awesome! (And just as a sidenote. I’ve seen a post saying ‘oooh, Moffat, why does it have to be MISTRESS now that the Master is female? If the Doctor was female, would you change her name to NURSE?’ (paraphrasing but that’s pretty much what it said). LIKE. We realize that we don’t always use it this way but master is a gender-specific title right? Like mister or Mrs. (which– actually came from mistress). Like COME ON. I wish we lived in a world where we all could be mad at Moffat for the correct reasons LIKE HEY, you just killed Danny???)
And I feel like the way I’m going to feel about this episode will ultimately depend on how things are left with Danny at the end of part two. Ughhh I really really wanted you to be wrong about the Danny having killed a kid thing. ;__; Here’s hoping for an EVERYBODY LIVES ending.
