I’m not just gonna stick my head in the sand and let it happen to somebody else because I’m scared. Which I am. A lot.

Matt and Clint friendship headcanons
- Seamlessly having each other’s backs in a fight.
- Perching on stuff together.
- Clint futzing around with Matt’s billy clubs, Matt being floored by the draw weight on Clint’s bow.
- Comparing scar stories.
- Comparing past lovers (”Yeah, Natasha’s a firecracker”” “Whoa, when did you go out with Maya??”).
- Going out for drinks and venting about ableist jerks.
- Arguing over where to go to drink in the first place (”You always want to go to gross dive bars, Clint” “Yeah, well, excuse me for not wanting to feel like I need to wear a tux to get a beer”).
- Helping each other defend their respective neighborhoods without a second thought.
- Bonding over being a street-level hero.
- Clint storing backup billy clubs in his quiver. Matt storing backup hearing aid batteries in his suit pocket.
- Getting into arguments over who loves New York more.
- Getting into arguments over whether Hell’s Kitchen or Brooklyn is better.
- Resolving those arguments by whining about gentrification for like two hours together.
- Swapping notes about the men who trained them up as kids (Stick vs. Swordsman!).
- Bonding over having rough childhoods and losing parents.
- Matt being really excited to find out that Clint’s circus training means he’s actually really good at parkour and being stoked to have a parkour pal.
petition to call these two Parkour Pals instead of dumpster bros thanks
Seconded.
agents of shield + daredevil: easter eggs.
If there’s one thing I love about Daredevil, it’s how casual they are with his disability. Jokes are made and they’re beautiful. Characters get flustered around Matt and he shrugs it off because he’s used to it, and it’s okay to get flustered. We get it, you’re trying your best. Foggy describes people’s facial expressions like it’s second nature to him, and says casually, “Let’s cross,” when walking on the street with Matt.
They don’t make him a saint for being blind, nor do they make him angst over it. He expressed frustration and longing to see the sky, and that’s normal. But they don’t make his angsting constant, which is really beautiful because it’s true; after a while, you get used to your disability, however painful. You don’t like it, but you get used to it. Those around you get used to it, though they still mess up occasionally.
Daredevil’s just really great and, as a disabled person, I really, really love it.
